Round 6 Kanga News

19 May 2019 by Sunbury Kangaroos

U/19’s LATE CHARGE NOT ENOUGH.
The Young Roo Boys came up against Strathmore at The Pouch. If they’d played 4 quarters of footy they may have won their second game, but that’s not the case. The Roos were kept goalless for the first half, mainly due to the poor ball use and decision making, allowing Strathmore to go to the main change 31 points ahead. By the end of the 3rd, the Roos had kicked their first goal of the game, and the Mores had extended their lead to 50 points. When the Roo Boys finally woke up in the last quarter, they proved that they have what it takes to play good football, keeping the Mores goalless, and cutting the final margin down to 23 points. Come on lads you know you can do it.

EARLY FINISH FOR SENIOR WOMEN.
The Lady Roos had an early finish against Strathmore at The Pouch. Now Strathmore have a never say die culture, and I know that from experience, but someone forgot to tell their women’s team. The Roos dominated an undermanned (is that correct to say?) Strathmore, keeping them scoreless in the 1st quarter and going to the first break 6 goals up. The Kangas started the 2nd with 3 quick goals before the Mores got a dose of BAILEESAIDITIS, (its similar to eating a dodgy curry, your f@!ked once she runs through you.). After cleaning up one of the opposition in a fair contest, Bailee Said struck fear into the hearts of the rest of the Mores team, with 2 more of their players walking off in sympathy, and this would be the end of the game. All I can say is when the Kangas were getting thumped by Aberfeldie a couple of weeks back, the girls still played with the Fighting Kangaroo spirit, can’t say the same for Strathmore.

BARLING DEBUTS FOR ROOS 2’s
James Barling, not the most gifted footballer at the club, and this is not a knock on the bloke by any means. James has been at the club since the start of the season, out on the track every week, working hard with the boys to better his skills. Missing out on selection for the first few games this season, James has been keeping himself going by playing in the local Reclink team. His enthusiasm, hard work and determination was rewarded this week, and for the first time, James was selected in the world famous Roos 2’s to play against Jacana. The cheers from the Blue Coats when came off the bench were deafening, and he almost had that dream start of first kick first goal. When James did kick his first goal, the Roo Boys ran from every part of the ground to get around him and give him a pat on the back. To complete the fairy tale the Roos 2’s beat Jacana by 196 points, and James got a Gatorade shower. Well done James hope you had a great day.

WHO WILL STOP HIM.
Big Bogut is on B&F form for the Kangaroos and quite possibly the League. Dominating every ruckman so for this season with his sublime tap downs to maybe his only rival, Tie Cuffe. Jacana saw the dynamic duo in full flight this week, as the Roo Boys chalked up another big win. Again the start saw the Kangas struggle to get going, but once they got their shit together, the floodgates opened. Jacana tried their best with what players they could get, and did show some fight, but could not stop the rampant Kangas. Winners by 229 points.
Best on – T. Cuffe

JOKE OF THE WEEK
I got on the bus the other day, and I sat down net to a sexy Thai girl.
I thought to myself, “please don’t get an erection, please don’t get an erection, please don’t get an erection”, but she did.
