SENIOR WOMEN FIGHT BACK.
The Lady Roos hosted competition front runners Aberfeldie under the Boardman candles on Friday night.
The Roo Girls, even though they lost, can hold their heads high. After not being able to score in their first encounter at Abers earlier this season, the Roos were able to put 2 goals on the board in the 1st term and go into the huddle 7 points behind. Abers extended their lead in the 2nd quarter kicking 2 goals to 1, leaving the Roos 13 points down at half time. Neither side kicked a goal in the 3rd quarter, with an on field skirmish the only thing to keep the crowd engaged. The Lady Roos toiled hard in the last, but Abers were able to add 2 goals and run out winners by 25 points. An honourable loss considering.

U19’s GO BACK TO BACK.
The Young Roo Boys have strung 2 wins together, brushing aside West Coburg by 31 points. Leading from start to finish, the lads put together a solid 4 quarters of football, and now sit just 1 game out of the top 4. Their next opponent, ladder leaders Tullamarine. It will be a tough game for the Young Roos, coming off the long weekend, will they be able to maintain their current form and take down the Demons? Lets hope so.

THE FOSSIL RETURNS TO THE ROOS 2’S.
With almost as many comebacks as John Farnham, Jamie Cuffe pulled on the jumper again. And he didn’t disappoint, at 48 playing like he was 21, kicking 3 goals and being named in the best, as the Roos 2’s keep chugging along. This week they put Moonee Valley to the sword. The Roos had a solid first term, keeping The Valley at bay by 21 points. The 2’s lead at the main break 22 points, earned them a spray from Mad Max Pettman, that could be heard outside the rooms. This sparked the Roos up, and they came out and blew The Fog away, finishing the 3rd quarter 53 points up. The 2’s maintained their lead in the last keeping Moonee Valley at arms length, running out 56 point winners. Keep it going boys.

THE SENIOR MEN JUGGERNAUT ROLLS ON.
Moonee Valley became the 7th notch on the Roo Boys belt, comfortably winning by 48 points. Leading at every change, the Kangas never gave The Valley a chance. Next up is Coburg Districts, the last test before we turn for home. Can we keep the perfect start? From what I’ve seen, I think so.

GO ROOS!

JOKE OF THE WEEK
Jack and Jim are playing golf.
Jack is about to take a swing when a funeral procession appears on the road next to the course. He stops mid swing, takes off his cap, and bows his head in contemplation. Once gone Jack lifts his head and puts his cap back on.
Jim says " That must be the most touching thing I’ve ever seen."
Jack replied " Yeah, we were married for 35 years"
