SENIOR WOMEN TOO GOOD.
Hume councils “you beaut” oil lamps were again alight on Friday night, as the Roo Girls played host to Craigieburn. One could be forgiven for thinking it was an Ass Kicking contest, the Lady Roos kicking 36 behinds in their 144 point win over the Eagles. Again the queen B’s, Bailee, Bec and Bell, controlled the midfield, feeding the forwards at will. Kate Edney, Regina Said and Bronte Koutras all to strong for the Craigieburn defence, kicking 12 between them. The Roo Girls have now snuck into the top 4 on percentage over West Meadows, who are their next opponents. A win here could almost guarantee a finals berth. Keep it going Ladies, winning ugly is still winning.

U/19’s STILL HABOUR DEMONS.
After losing to Tullamarine by 92 points in round 2, this game could’ve been the upset of the year. Again failure to convert in the 1st quarter has cost the Young Roos again, losing by 12 points. The Kangas proved that they can mix it with the best, fighting out the whole game without a bench, and making the Demons work hard for the win. If only, if only. Top effort boys.

ROOS 2’s CRIUSE PAST COBURG DISTRICTS.
Another start to finish domination by the Roos 2’s, beating the Lions by 10 goals. The boys never gave Coburg a sniff, with Little, Spooner and Woolley proving to much for the Lions defence to handle. Another positive for the Roos is Chris Monaco’s return from injury, adding more depth to the list. Now the all important question needs to be asked, Who the hell does the best on?

THE HUNTERS BECOME THE HUNTED.
The last scalp has been claimed with the Senior Men beating Coburg Districts by 137 points. The Roo Boys held the Lions to just 1 goal for the first half of the game as they set themselves up for a huge win. Josh Burgess bagged 11 for the second time this season, and rose to the top of the league goal kicking table. A well rounded and polished performance by the lads, leaving coach Anthony Leydin with little to say in his after match address. We now come around the sun for a second time, and all teams will be gunning for us on the run home. Will it be Roo season or the Roo’s season?

KANGAS WHITE MISS OUT AGAIN.
Kangas White gave a Aberfeldie a run for their money in Div.2. The Roos lead at every change but were out played by Abers in the end losing by 2 goals. White still maintain their position in the top 4 and need to keep winning with finals just around the corner.

JOKE OF THE WEEK
When I was a boy, we lived on a farm. I came home from school one day and my mum said to me “Go outside and help your Grandpa Jack of the horse.”
I started for the door then stopped turned to mum and said “Isn’t Grandpa’s name was Bob?”
